Matthew 6:33 - Setting Priorities.

Matthew 6:33 - Setting Priorities.

Matthew 6:33 (NLT) and he will give you all you need from day to
day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary
concern.

Matthew 6:33 (NCV) The thing you should want most is God's
kingdom and doing what God wants. Then all these other things you need
will be given to you.

Matthew 6:33 (EAV) But seek (aim at and strive after) first of
all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being
right), and then all these things taken together will be given you
besides.

Matthew 6:33 (CWR) So make God's kingdom and His righteousness
first in your life, and all the other things will be given to you as
you need them.

The psalmist David recognized how short life is and how futile
it is to make the accumulation of riches one's priority in life. No
matter how long your life may be, your years are still only a "breath"
when compared to your life in heaven, so you need to set priorities
in light of what really matters. If there is something you want or
need to do, don't put it off for another day. Make each moment count.
Don't neglect what is most important: your relationship with God.
As you look at life from this perspective, remember the words
of Jesus: "Don't store up treasures here on earth.... Store your
treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do
not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires
of your heart will also be" (Matthew 6:19-21, January 7). Your time
on earth is short. Ask God to help you spend it on things that
count. [The One Year Bible for New Believers re Psa. 39:5, 6]

Worry is blind, and cannot discern the future; but Jesus sees
the end from the beginning. In every difficulty He has His way
prepared to bring relief. Our Heavenly Father has a thousand ways to
provide for us, of which we know nothing. Those who accept the one
principle of making the service and honor of God supreme, will find
perplexities vanish, and a plain path before their feet. DA330
