Proverbs 18:22 - Marriage Is A Gift From God.

Proverbs 18:22 (NLT) The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, 
and he receives favor from the Lord.  

Proverbs 18:22 (CWK) Whoever has a good wife has a treasure; he 
is favored by the Lord. 

God created marriage for our enjoyment and he pronounced it 
good. This is one of many passages in the Bible that show marriage as 
a joyful and good creation of God (Genesis 2:21-25; Proverbs 
5:15-19; John 2:1-11). [Life Application SB] 

  When we think of treasure, we picture buried gold, material 
wealth, or a priceless object that has great worth. People are not 
usually put in the treasure category. But Proverbs 18:22 says just that: 
the one who finds a spouse finds a treasure, and receives favor from 
God.  
  Husbands and wives are many things: companions, lovers, 
parents, business partners. But what might happen if you also thought of 
your spouse as a precious and rare treasure? Honor your husband's 
great worth as a human being made in God's image. Admire your wife's 
unique gifts. Brag on each other in public with pride. Treat each other 
gently, accepting the little chips and cracks, as you would lovingly 
handle a precious piece of art.  
  It is crucial that you invite God to reside at the center of 
your marriage. Pray for your spouse daily. Never take your husband or 
wife for granted. Share in the sorrows as well as the joys. Pray 
together. Above all, remember that your spouse is a treasure from God and
