Psalm 16:11 - Fullness of Joy is in Gods Presence.

Psalm 16:11 (NKJV) You will show me the path
of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

INTRODUCTION

Joy comes from being in Gods presence.
True joy is far deeper than happiness; we can
feel joy in spite of our deepest troubles.
Happiness is temporary because it is based on external
circumstances, but joy is lasting because it is based on
Gods presence within us. As we contemplate his
daily presence, we will find contentment. As we
understand the future he has for us, we will experience
joy. Dont base your life on circumstances, but
on God. [Life Application SB]

Our growth in grace, our joy, our
usefulness,--all depend upon our union with Christ. It is by
communion with Him, daily, hourly,--by abiding in Him,
--that we are to grow in grace. He is not only the
Author, but the Finisher of our faith. It is Christ
first and last and always. He is to be with us,
not only at the beginning and the end of our
course, but at every step of the way. [Remnant SOP
SB]

COMMENTARY PEARL

Two weeks ago, my friend from church
Brenda and I started walking. She graciously agreed
to meet me at my favorite walking trail, which
is lined with trees that provide shade. On the
other side of the trail, there is a man-made lake
that is lined with small trees and filled with
families of duck and geese. When we get to the side
of the trail where the lake is, Brenda always
comments on the ducks. She coos at the ducklings and
counts the ducks and their families. It is
interesting to see her reaction when she sees the white
ducks and the geese. Since I have been passing by
these birds for several years, I dont look at
them in awe anymore. Im too busy completing my
miles so I can move on to the next activity of the
day.
Several years ago, I noticed that my mind
is always churning and I am never fully present
in any activity. I can miss out on the
pleasures of life because I dont totally focus on
the present. At times, not being focused in the
moment and not sitting in the presence of Jesus can
prevent us from seeing the path that He has for us.

Lately, I have been asking Jesus to help
me remain present in His love. Just like my
friend Brenda was aware of the beauty of the ducks
and geese, I want to be aware of all that Jesus
brings to my life each day. When we are aware of
His presence, we can experience abundant joy and
enjoy all the beauty of life, no matter how big or
small. My desire is to be fully present, basking in
the pleasures of Jesus as He guides me in life.

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS

In My Presence you can find fullness of
Joy, perfect Peace, and unfailing Love. Walk with
Me along the path of life - enjoying My company
each step of the way. Because I am always by your
side, the Joy of My Presence is yours for the
taking!
I will keep you in perfect Peace as you
fix your thoughts on Me. Stay in communication
with Me through your spoken words, thoughts, and
songs. Spend ample time absorbing My Word - letting
it speak into your heart, where it changes the
way you think and live. As you ponder who I
really am, My Light shines warmly into your mind,
helping you live in My Peace.
Beloved, I want you to flourish in My
Presence - like an olive tree flourishing in the
house of God. As the sunlight of My Presence
nourishes you, you are able to produce abundant fruit
in My kingdom. And the more you trust in My
unfailing Love, the more you will realize how utterly
secure you are. (Psa. 16:11; Isa. 26:3; Psa. 2:8)

I give you Joy in your journey through
the world. This sparkling gift is not a luxury;
it's a necessity! There are bumps in the road
ahead, as well as sharp curves, ascents, and
descents. Without Joy in your heart, you will become
weary and discouraged.
Joy is not dependent on the circumstances
in your life. It can transcend them all! This
is why impoverished people are often more
joyful than those who have material wealth. Sick -
and even dying - people can also be joyful when
they're trusting in Me as Savior, Lord, and Friend.
Seek to spread Joy in the world around
you. Let My Light reflect from your demeanor -
through your smiles, your laughter, your words. The
Holy Spirit will equip you to do this as you give
Him space in your life. Ask Him to fill you with
contagious delight. Concentrate on staying close to Me,
and I will lead you along the path of Life. In
My Presence there is fullness of Joy. (Heb.
12:3; Hab. 3:17, 18; Psa. 16:11) [Jesus Always by
Sarah Young]

The Joy you have in Me is independent of
your circumstances. In My Presence is fullness of
Joy, and you are never separated from Me. Search
for Me as you go along your pathway today. I
delight in disclosing Myself to you. Sometimes I
communicate with you in grand, unmistakable ways "
coincidences" that are deafly the work of My hands. At
other times I display My unseen Presence in subtle
ways. These are often so personal to you that
others wouldn't even notice them. Yet these subtle
signs can be a source of deep, intimate Joy.
The more attentive you are, the more you
can find Me in the details of your day. So try
to stay alert - be on the lookout for Me!
Fill your mind and heart with Scripture,
where I reveal Myself most clearly. Let My
promises permeate your thinking and keep you close to
Me. Listen to My voice. I know you, and you
follow Me. I give you eternal Life; no one can
snatch you out of My hand. Rejoice! (Psa. 16:11;
Jer. 29:13; John 10:27, 28) [Jesus Always by
