Mark 16:15 - GOOD NEWS HAS TO BE SHARED!

Mark 16:15 (KJV) Go ye into all the world, 
and preach the gospel to every creature.  

Mark 16:15 (GW) So wherever you go in the 
world, tell everyone the Good News. 

COMMENTARY PEARL

   One December our youth pastor paid a 
visit to a church member whod been 
hospitalized. As James neared the patients room, 
another door at the far end of the hallway opened 
and a man rushed out. This man ran down the 
hall, shouting at the top of his lungs, Shes 
all right! Shes all right! He stopped in 
front of James, grabbed his shoulders, and 
repeated his message. Then he continued shouting.  
   Pastor James never learned the details of 
this strangers situation. But it was obvious 
the man had good news that he wanted to share 
with everyone. How appropriate that this scenario 
played out in December, a season when we celebrate 
the words of an angel to shepherds announcing 
that the Savior of the world had been born: I 
have good news for you, a message that will fill 
everyone with joy (Luke 2:10, GW).  
   As Jesus ascended back to heaven after 
His resurrection, He instructed His followers to 
tell everyone the good news about Gods kingdom 
wherever they went (Mark 16:15). While I often fall 
short in this area, Ive decided that December 
is the perfect time to improve. I will resist 
the pressure to try to craft the picture-perfect 
holiday. Instead I will plan activities, choose 
gifts, and engage in conversations that point 
toward Jesus and what His life and death made 
possible: forgiveness of sins, unconditional love, and 
eternal life. What better time to share the most 
wonderful news than the most wonderful time of the
