John 1:16 - Gods Grace Beyond Measure.

John 1:16 (NIV) From the fullness of his
grace we have all received one blessing after
another.

COMMENTARY PEARL

While on vacation, my husband, Jeff, and
I had just picked up our to-go dinners when we
received simultaneous emergency text messages from
our daughter Brooke. Figuring it was a mistake,
I called Brooke. When she didn't respond, I
called her boyfriend, Matt. "Brooke's been in a
wreck!" he said breathlessly. Panicked, I asked if
she was okay. Matt answered, "I don't know!" At
that moment, I heard Brooke crying in the
background. She was alive! Thank you, Jesus! Grace.
Jeff and I rushed back to the condo,
packed our things, and headed for the trauma center
where Brooke had been taken. It was an hour away.
All the way, I prayed over and over, Jesus,
Jesus, Jesus. As we drove, Matt reported in,
telling us Brooke had been hit by a drunk driver,
her leg crushed. She was being stabilized in the
ER before surgery.
When we arrived at the hospital and
located Brooke, I was horrified to see the bone
protruding from her leg. She'd been taken to the
premier trauma center in the area, staffed with
outstanding surgeons. It could have been so much worse.
Grace.
Matt had tried to call Brooke on his way
to her house but had gotten no answer. Hearing
sirens, he'd approached an area cordoned off to
traffic. Led by an inner voice, he pulled his car
over and ran all the way to the accident site,
arriving just as Brooke was being loaded into the
ambulance. He was able to ride with her to the
hospital, holding her and comforting her. Grace. Pat
