1 Corinthians 2:14 - Spiritual Discernment Necessary for Biblical Understanding.

1 Corinthians 2:14 (NIV) The person without
the Spirit does not accept the things that come
from the Spirit of God but considers them
foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are
discerned only through the Spirit.

God intends that even in this life the
truths of His word shall be ever unfolding to His
people. There is only one way in which this
knowledge can be obtained. We can attain to an
understanding of God's word only through the illumination
of that Spirit by which the word was given. {SC

What Nonbelievers Dont Know About
When most people think of the Christian
life, the life that is dedicated to God, they
envision something full of misery, rules, and
regulations. They imagine a life of gloom and boredom and
cant fathom the appeal of something like that.
The Bible says, But the natural man
does not receive the things of the Spirit of God,
for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know
them, because they are spiritually discerned (1
Corinthians 2:14 NKJV).

walk with the Lord, there is a joy
inexpressible (1 Peter 1:8 NKJV). It is not joy that comes
from the buzz of alcohol, drugs, or other things.
In fact, those things come with a hefty price
tag in the end.
When you know God, you realize the Bible
is not a mere book but Gods living Word to
you. And it takes on a whole new meaning.
When you realize that prayer is not a
mere ritual but is instead communication with the
all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving God, that means a
And when you sing His praises, you are
not just singing a few songs with other
Christians. Rather, you are lifting up the name of the
Lord together.
That is something the world doesnt
So, there are two ways we can live our
lives: the right way or the wrong way. There are
two paths we can take: the narrow way that leads
to life or the broad way that leads to
destruction. And there are two foundations we can build
on: the rock or sinking sand. We can live either
a happy and holy life or a miserable and
unholy life.
Theres nothing out there like the
Christian life. And when you truly come to know God,
you realize its the greatest life there is.
