Matthew 6:25 - Our Needs Are Met.

Matthew 6:25 (NIV) Therefore I tell you, 
do not worry about your life, what you will eat 
or drink; or about your body, what you will 
wear. Is not life more important than food, and 
the body more important than clothes? 

Matthew 6:25 (NLT) That is why I tell you 
not to worry about everyday life - whether you 
have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to 
wear. Isnt life more than food, and your body 
more than clothing? 

COMMENTARY PEARL

   People have two great spiritual needs. 
The first is forgiveness, which God has made 
possible by sending His Son into the world to die for 
our sins. Our second need is goodness, which God 
also made possible by sending the Holy Spirit to 
dwell within us. We actually have the glory of the 
Lord with us in this life because His Spirit 
abides in us. Do we really comprehend that the Lord 
of all gives us a taste of His abundant 
attributes while we are still in these earthly bodies? 
Do our lives reflect this? 
   As needy people we ask the Lord for many 
things: food, clothing, jobs, homes, a spouse, 
children, and more. Our minds are focused on our 
physical needs. Instead, Paul prayed that the Holy 
Spirit will guide us in all truth and wisdom: "I 
pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources 
he will empower you with inner strength through 
his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in 
your hearts as you trust in him" (Ephesians 
3:16-17 NLT). This is a wonderful promise. 
   Do you pray for your spiritual needs,
