Psalm 9:1 - Praise The Lord And Share Him.

Psalm 9:1 (NIV) I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders.

Psalm 9:1 (NLT) I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.

INTRODUCTION

Praise is expressing to God our appreciation and understanding of his great worth. It is saying thank you for each aspect of his divine nature. Our inward attitudes become outward expressions. When we praise God, we help ourselves by expanding our awareness of who he is. In each psalm you read, look for an attribute or characteristic of God for which you can thank him.
One of the natural results of praising God is telling others about him. When we know God is wonderful, loving, and kind, that knowledge inspires in us a desire to tell others about him and encourage them to praise him with us. [Life Application SB 2019]

The Joy Of Your Salvation
So many believers desire to live a life characterized by joy. We want to be content and grateful people. And there's nothing wrong with that. But sometimes we can forget our greatest calling - to go and make disciples. When was the last time you told your story of how Jesus saved you? When we recall God's grace to us and share our journey to faith, something in our hearts comes alive. It's your story of redemption and restoration that reminds you that gospel blood is still flowing through your veins. It's as real today as it was the day you put your faith in Him.
Every time you share your testimony, you declare hope and faith that God will continue His salvation work in the lives of those around you. The same God who saved you stands poised and ready; there is not a single person outside of His reach. If you want to experience the fullness of praise and joy, commit to going public with your story and watch as you plant seeds of faith in the lives of others. There is no greater calling, so rejoice in your faith and tell someone else about what God has done!
Dear Lord, may the story of Your saving grace be forever on my lips. [Grace and Glory by Louie Giglio]

When people learn that I live on a boat, they often ask where I get drinking water. I explain that the city supplies it and that we use a hose reserved for only that purpose to gain access to it. One end of the hose connects to a spigot on the dock. We insert the other end through a deck fitting, turn the spigot on, and presto Water fills our two 150-gallon tanks in less than a half hour. The supply lasts for a couple of weeks or more, depending on how much we use.
A wall-mounted gauge tracks the water level in each tank, but I've learned to recognize the clue that tells me when they're nearing empty: the faucet makes a sputtering sound and water spurts rather than flows.
I've discovered a similarity of sorts between this aspect of boat life and my relationship with Jesus. Scripture promises that His presence fills me with joy, but that doesn't happen automatically. I need to connect with Him through disciplines such as praying, reading His Word, obeying His commands, and practicing gratitude. Consistent fellowship keeps my spiritual tank full.
If I disconnect from Jesus, my spiritual tank eventually runs dry. I feel impatient with my husband, fall into the comparison trap, become easily critical of others, and feel anxious for my kids' well-being. Joy no longer flows but rather spurts and sputters. These clues tell me I need to reconnect with Jesus. His supply of joy is endless, and it's always available to fill my tank. Grace Fox
