Matthew 19:26 - All Things Are Possible With God.Matthew 19:26 (KJV) But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.COMMENTARY PEARL The Dead in Christ Silicon Valley billionaires have invested in start-ups seeking to slow down the ageing process. The goal is to eventually achieve immortality; as the headlines about "Defeating Death" imply. One scheme involves freezing a person's brain at the moment of death. The idea is that science will one day be able to upload that person's neural connections into a computer, preserving the existence of their personality. (One question, though: If a backup is made, which one is the real person?) How sad - these futile attempts at eternal life! Why do we look to Silicon Valley for the fountain of youth when we've been promised eternal life through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ? "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent" (John 17:3). We know that, when Jesus returns, all "the dead in Christ will rise" to everlasting bliss (1 Thessalonians 4:16). Look at the power in today's promise. If "all things are possible" for God, He can clothe mortals with immortality (1 Corinthians 15:54). When Christ comes back, He Will raise an untold number of saints, many of whom have been dead for millennia. If He can do that, can He not also do the "impossible" in your life? The Same Spirit Who Will Raise The Dead Is The Same One Who Can Dwell In You Now (Romans 8:11), Enabling You To Endure Any Trial Or Temptation. Claim, In The Name Of Jesus, His Promises For Whatever Trials And Temptations You Are Facing, And His Spirit Will Do The Impossible In Your Heart. Lord Jesus, help me to trust in You and all that You have promised.
